Our Story
Ed's background encompasses 40+ years experience in the winemaking industry. Throughout that time he's been a key player in the development of several brands for major companies, and privately owned brands. Including,
The Wine Spectrum of Coca Cola, Joseph E. Seagram's, Constellation Brands, The Tolosa Winery, Courtside Cellars, and Purple Wine + Spirits. His work experience includes the help positions of Cellar Manager, Production Planner, Quality Assurance, Vineyard and Grower relations, Senior Winemaker, and Director of Winemaking. He most values his relationships with friends and associates in the industry.
Privately, Ed was co-owner/proprietor of La Filice Winery. Based in Templeton, the heart of California's "Rhone Zone". La Filice wines were hand-crafted, small lot releases, utilizing Rhone varietals. Through its 10+ years of operation La Filice releases received many rewards and accolades, including:
- 2003 "Golden Spur Syrah Challenge", 2001 Mill Road Syrah, "Best of Class".
- San Francisco Wine Competition, 2001 Mill Road Syrah, Gold Medal.
- 2007 San Francisco Wine Competition, 2004 La Filice "Cepage", (Syrah/Cab blend), "Double Gold Medal, "Best of Class"
